Maplewood Nature Center
Location: Rochester, New York
The City of Rochester is one of 18 cities selected for a program titled “Connecting Kids to Nature”. The City has selected the existing one story structure in Maplewood Park, along with the adjacent park land to be studies for this purpose. The existing one story building presently has 4,600 sf. It is located adjacent to a large parking lot and pond. It is also located near the Genesee River, Seneca Park Zoo and a corridor on Lake Avenue that is planned for redevelopment.
The project site is part of Frederick Law Olmstead Park.
