Result:

The Existing Hope Lobby, previously carved up with offices, mechanical systems, and a new staircase, was completely transformed. Many of the previous ornamentation had been removed.

The renovation features included:

• Repair of the historic plaster
• Design of a new fireplace
• Handmade tile ornamentation
• Faux painting and
• Handicapped accessible monumental entry doors

The new Garden Lobby, was carved out of the interior of the building. It is a spacious corridor and seating area, including park benches, an aquarium and a landscape mural. Durable materials such as brick, precast concrete and terrazzo were used to bring the beautiful exterior detailing inside. Incorporation of the details in the brickwork add visual interest. Tapestry, the new gift shop, is a contemporary interpretation of the buildings exterior details. It features arches of multicolored tile work, solid surface cabinetry and fiber optics.
