Challenge:
To design substantial additions to each end of a narrow and tall house. The nearby property line at one side of the house was constricting. The existing character of the house was to be maintained.
Result:
A beautifully expanded residence that enhanced the original house.
Adding to the existing character, the design of the addition included dramatic vernacular features: A steeply pitched main roof, a balcony off the second floor master bedroom, a large bay window at the back of the family room.
