Summary:

The Waterfront Lodge is more of an Experience than a building – it is the type and style of structure we all want to be in, next to, and surrounded by. Nestled along the east side of Irondequoit Bay within Abraham Lincoln Park, with dramatic views of Lake Ontario, Waterfront Lodge is a truly unique park building. The natural cedar wood finish on the exterior and stained poplar wood paneling on the interior allows the Lodge to work harmoniously within the park.

The local YMCA used the previous Quonset Hut on the site for their summer programs. The new building had to sit on the previous footprint to allow storage space for the YMCA as well as have a main lodge on the site. Waterfront Lodge provides accommodations for the YMCA summer program including; water sports, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and fishing. The building program also included public amenities for at-grade restrooms, covered gathering spaces, and a dock for recreational watercraft for park visitors and boaters alike.

The main hall located on the second floor can accommodate 100 guests and is fully accessible. The main hall features a full kitchen, restrooms, gas fireplace, and covered outdoor balcony. The interior finishes include stained poplar wood, ceramic tile, rubber flooring, and exposed wood beams.

“We can’t thank you enough for the amazing work you and your company did on the new boathouse. We had an unbelievable summer and we were able to create so many memories that will last a lifetime.”

– Terrence McElduff, Sr. Program Director Bay View Family YMCA
